Overview Morgan Hunt are working with a leading national Charity who are looking to recruit an SEN Learning Support Assistant in Worcestershire. This is a full time, permanent contract paying £28,500. The role will be office based as well as visiting local employers. The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to special needs learners in the classroom with employability coaching to secure job outcomes. A part of the role will also require supporting the learner find work placements. The successful candidate will need to be able to drive and be able to travel across Worcestershire.
Responsibilities
- Supporting and assisting learners in the classroom
- Conducting job coaching sessions and employability skills to assist in the workplace
- Offering pastoral support
- Collaborating with Tutors to ensure all elements of the programme are completed
- Engaging with local employers to secure work placement opportunities
Requirements
- Have experience of working with learners with special educational needs
- Worked with post 16 learners preferably within an employability setting
- Be flexible with travel across North London and the surrounding areas
- Be qualified to a minimum of Grade C in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
- Have a full UK driving licence and access to their own car
- Hold an enhanced Children and Adults DBS
