Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) is a leading social housing provider, managing over 5,100 homes across Argyll and Bute and supporting communities across the region. ACHA is now seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner (Fully Qualified) to join the team on a 9-12 month fixed term contract, supporting the Finance Manager and wider organisation through a key period, including year-end and ongoing financial reporting.
This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a fully qualified accountant who can add value quickly and provide stability within a busy finance function.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Senior Finance Business Partner will play a key role in ensuring strong financial control, reporting, and governance across the organisation. Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
- Playing a lead role in year-end and external audit delivery
- Strengthening financial reporting, controls, and processes
- Providing finance support and insight to colleagues across the organisation
- Supporting treasury, compliance, and regulatory reporting as required
About You
You will be a fully qualified accountant with experience operating in a complex or regulated environment. You'll be comfortable working at pace, taking ownership, and supporting both operational and strategic finance activity. You are likely to bring:
- Strong technical accounting and reporting experience
- Experience supporting or leading year-end and audit processes
- The ability to work collaboratively with non-finance colleagues
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach
Experience within social housing, the public sector, or not-for-profit organisations would be advantageous, though transferable experience will also be considered.
Contract & Package
Contract: 9-12 months FTC
Salary: £49,000 – £58,000 per annum
Flexibility to consider a higher grade for exceptional experience
Hybrid working arrangements – primarily working remotely, but expectation to visit one of the offices
