We are recruiting a compassionate and proactive Outreach Worker to support people experiencing street homelessness and those at risk across East Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by engaging individuals directly on the streets, building trust, and helping them access essential services, accommodation, and long‑term support.
Contract: 3 months (Jan-March)
Hours: Monday‑Friday
Early Outreach: 1-2 shifts per week (approx. 5:30am‑1:30pm)
Start: ASAP
Driving Licence Required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct early‑morning outreach to identify and engage rough sleepers
- Manage a caseload of clients and develop personalised support plans
- Support individuals to access housing, healthcare, benefits, and specialist services
- Build strong multi‑agency relationships to secure positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate case notes and work in a person‑centred, trauma‑informed way
Requirements:
- Experience working with people affected by homelessness or similar vulnerabilities
- Strong engagement, communication, and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage a caseload and work independently
- Full UK driving licence (own car preferred; car bank available but not guaranteed)
