We are currently recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established team on a long-term basis (6 months initially). This role offers a strong work-life balance, hybrid working, and exposure to a varied public-sector workload.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a full range of quantity surveying services across projects, working both independently and collaboratively within the wider team.
Key Responsibilities & Experience Required- Previous experience working within a Local Authority or public-sector environment
- Ideally Chartered (or working towards) with several years' post-qualification experience
- Comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong experience in:
- Bills of Quantities (BQ) production
- Cost planning and cost control
- Contract administration, including payment certification, valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts
- Proven knowledge of SBCC Forms of Contract, including:
- Minor Works
- With Quantities
- Design and Build
- Measured Term Contracts
- 35-hour working week
- 3 days in the office / 2 days working from home
