We are looking for a motivated and experienced Public Services Lecturer to join our academic team in London. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning & Delivery: Design, prepare, and deliver comprehensive lessons across various public services topics, including public sector roles, government policies, legal frameworks, and emergency services.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Develop and implement assessments to monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to help students develop professionally and academically.
  • Student Support: Provide individualised support to students, assisting them with academic challenges and guiding them toward successful careers in the public services sector.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the continuous development and enhancement of the public services curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and up-to-date with industry standards and legislation.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment, encouraging active participation and professional conduct.
  • Industry Collaboration: Stay informed of industry trends, policies, and developments to provide students with current, real-world knowledge and case studies.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A degree in Public Services, Criminology, Social Policy, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • A relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Proven experience in teaching public services or a related field, ideally within an educational or vocational setting.
  • Strong understanding of the public services sector, including law enforcement, fire services, healthcare, social care, and emergency management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
