Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Lesson Delivery: Design, prepare, and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons covering key psychological concepts, theories, and research methods.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Develop and implement assessments to monitor student progress, providing timely, constructive feedback that supports their academic growth.
  • Student Support: Offer additional support to students, addressing individual learning needs and ensuring they have the resources to succeed in their studies.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Psychology curriculum, ensuring it remains current and relevant.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and ensure timely intervention when necessary to provide additional support for struggling learners.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • A relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Proven experience in teaching Psychology at the Further Education level or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of psychological theories, research methods, and contemporary issues in the field.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
