Project Management Support Officer – Community Safety

Location: North London, Hybrid (3/4 days office-based)

Contract: Initially 4 months (possible extension)

Rate: Up to £300pd (umbrella) | 36hpw, 9am-5:30pm

An exciting opportunity for a Project Management Support Officer to join a forward‑thinking Community Safety team. This role will provide essential capacity to support a range of strategic and operational priorities, working closely with the Head of Community Safety to deliver high‑impact initiatives that enhance safety and community well‑being within the Public Sector and Government team across North London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver community safety events, conferences, and projects.
  • Support the mobilisation of new services, including recruitment, training, and induction of reassurance patrol teams.
  • Assist with service development, governance, and programme delivery from design to implementation.
  • Prepare and present reports, briefings, and other materials for varied audiences.
  • Build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Police, elected members, health, probation, education, and community groups.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven background in project coordination and service mobilisation, ideally within local government or community safety settings.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Confident in managing multiple priorities and delivering outcomes in a collaborative environment.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and presenting complex information clearly.
  • A proactive, solution‑focused professional who can work both autonomously and as part of a team.
