We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND and Inclusion Lecturer to join a supportive Further Education college in the Peterborough area this September.

The Opportunity
As a SEND and Inclusion Lecturer, you'll deliver high quality teaching to learners with a range of additional learning needs, including learning difficulties, autism, SEMH needs and other SEND requirements.
You'll create a welcoming and engaging learning environment where students feel supported, challenged and encouraged to achieve their personal and academic goals.
Working closely with support staff and wider college teams, you'll help learners develop confidence, independence and important life skills.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of individual learners
- Creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all learners can thrive
- Supporting learners to achieve their EHCP outcomes and personal targets
- Developing learners' confidence, communication and independence skills
- Embedding employability, personal development and preparation for adulthood within lessons
- Monitoring learner progress and recognising achievements
- Working collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, parents, carers and external professionals
- Encouraging learner engagement, participation and progression
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to learner reviews and assessments
What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching learners with SEND, learning difficulties or disabilities
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A positive and learner focused approach
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting learner success
- Ability to differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs
- Experience within Further Education or Supported Learning settings is highly desirable
