An established and highly regarded Further Education college in the East Midlands is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Lecturer in Uniformed Services to join its growing curriculum team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or industry professional looking to move into teaching and make a meaningful impact on the next generation of learners pursuing careers within the Public and Uniformed Services sectors.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative teaching across accredited Uniformed Services and Public Services programmes from

Level 2 to Level 3 .

Working with both

16-18-year-old learners and adult students (19+) , you will create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that enables students to achieve their full potential and progress into higher education, training, apprenticeships, or employment.

Key responsibilities include

  • Delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and motivate learners.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing effective feedback.
  • Supporting learners' personal and academic development.
  • Embedding digital technologies into teaching and learning.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who is committed to delivering outstanding education and student outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Public Services or a related subject.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Public Services curriculum.
  • Experience teaching, training, assessing, or working with young people and/or adult learners.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and progression.

Desirable Requirements

  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 or above.
  • Experience delivering qualifications within a Further Education setting.
  • Background within the Uniformed Services sector.
  • Experience teaching learners aged 16-18 and adult cohorts.

Applicants without a teaching qualification may be supported to achieve one as part of their professional development.
