About the Role

As a Teacher of Maths, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across GCSE and Functional Skills Maths, supporting students with a range of abilities. You will play a key role in shaping the maths curriculum, tracking student progress, and working closely with wider curriculum teams to ensure positive outcomes for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in GCSE and Functional Skills Maths
  • Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively
  • Motivate and support learners to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
  • Participate in student recruitment activities such as open days and events
  • Support safeguarding, wellbeing and positive student behaviour
  • Contribute to quality assurance and internal verification processes

About You

We're looking for an individual who brings energy and enthusiasm to the classroom, is an engaging communicator, highly organised and passionate about helping students succeed, and a collaborative team player with a flexible and proactive approach. You should ideally have experience in teaching and assessing Maths, ideally at GCSE level.

Essential Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Experience delivering Maths teaching, ideally GCSE
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners
  • Commitment to CPD and continuous improvement

Desirable

  • Degree-level qualification
  • Experience in Further Education
