The college is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer in Sport to join the Sport & UPS faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate sport professional to inspire and support learners across Further Education programmes while contributing to the continued development of sport studies within the college.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across sport-related courses
  • Support learners to achieve successful outcomes
  • Act as a tutor for full-time and part-time students
  • Contribute to curriculum development and practical activities
  • Participate in student recruitment events and open days
  • Maintain accurate student records and attendance monitoring
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Support internal verification and quality assurance processes

Essential Requirements

  • Degree (BSc or equivalent) in a Sport Science related subject
  • Experience within the sports industry
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students
  • GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already held

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • MSc/MA or PhD in a relevant subject area
  • Coaching, fitness instructing, or personal training qualifications
  • Experience within FE or HE education
  • Assessor or IQA qualifications
