The college is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer in Sport to join the Sport & UPS faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate sport professional to inspire and support learners across Further Education programmes while contributing to the continued development of sport studies within the college.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across sport-related courses
- Support learners to achieve successful outcomes
- Act as a tutor for full-time and part-time students
- Contribute to curriculum development and practical activities
- Participate in student recruitment events and open days
- Maintain accurate student records and attendance monitoring
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Support internal verification and quality assurance processes
Essential Requirements
- Degree (BSc or equivalent) in a Sport Science related subject
- Experience within the sports industry
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students
- GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already held
Desirable Skills & Experience
- MSc/MA or PhD in a relevant subject area
- Coaching, fitness instructing, or personal training qualifications
- Experience within FE or HE education
- Assessor or IQA qualifications
