We are currently recruiting for an experienced Support Services Team Leader to join one of the UK's leading providers of housing and support services for vulnerable veterans. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with leadership experience within supported housing, homelessness, mental health, or complex needs services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Community Support Workers and Independent Living Workers.
- Provide day-to-day operational support, supervision, and guidance to the team.
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred support is delivered to veterans living in supported accommodation.
- Oversee support planning, key work sessions, risk assessments, safeguarding, and case management.
- Monitor service delivery and ensure compliance with organisational policies and quality standards.
- Build effective relationships with housing providers, healthcare professionals, probation services, and other partner agencies.
- Support the team in achieving positive outcomes around tenancy sustainment, wellbeing, independence, and recovery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, Lead Support Worker, Deputy Manager, or similar role.
- Experience supporting clients with mental health, PTSD, homelessness, substance misuse, offending behaviour, or complex needs.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, support planning, and person-centred practice.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop staff while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
