This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of HR to join a Government Agency going through a period of change. Reporting into the Chief People Officer, you will offer thought leadership on innovation and best practice across strategic and practical HR matters, ensuring that any change is relevant and achievable for the organisation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Being the principal adviser to the Executive Committee on strategic and operational staff and resourcing matters
  • Providing leadership and developing a high-performing HR team
  • Providing the highest quality advice and guidance to the senior team and staff on the full range of staff issues, including resourcing, remuneration, performance management, inclusion and learning and development
  • Ensuring that HR policies and practices are informed by current best practice on equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Championing data and insight reporting
  • Providing cover to the Chief People Officer on HR-related opportunities, challenges and any risk

You should be an experienced Head of HR with a track record of supporting organisations through a period of change. Ideally, you will have experience of working in the civil service and have security clearance. An up-to-date knowledge of HR best practice needs to include an in-depth knowledge of employment law, resourcing and talent management, learning & development, reward and diversity and inclusion. Ideally, you will be MCIPD qualified.
