We are seeking a Head of Additional Learning Support to oversee High Needs learners and ensure the delivery of high-quality additional learning support.
This role is pivotal in managing the provision of support, ensuring that all learners receive the assistance they are entitled to in a timely and effective manner.
The Role
- Manage the Additional Learning Support provision.
- Coordinate the delivery of support services to meet learner needs.
- Oversee funding claims and documentation for High Needs learners.
- Ensure timely provision of support as identified in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Lead and inspire a team of professionals in delivering outstanding learning support.
- The Person
- Proven experience in managing additional learning support in Further Education.
- Strong assessment skills for identifying learner's additional learning needs.
- Experience in developing policies and procedures related to additional learning needs.
- Familiarity with working alongside Local Authorities regarding High Needs placements.
- Proficient in financial management and reporting.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in education or a related field.
- Additional certifications in special educational needs or related areas are advantageous.
- Has significant experience in managing or monitoring budgets.
- Ability to develop statistical and financial reports.
