About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Dispersed Support Worker to provide flexible, person-centred support to individuals across dispersed accommodation in the Harlow and Epping area. The role will involve working with referral agencies, developing effective support and safety plans, and empowering service users to achieve their goals and develop the skills needed for independent living. You will also support the management of accommodation, ensuring properties are maintained and service requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build effective relationships with referral agencies to support new referrals into the service
  • Develop and deliver tailored support and safety plans for service users
  • Maintain regular contact with service users in line with contractual requirements
  • Support individuals to identify and achieve their personal goals
  • Develop independent living skills, including support with domestic tasks and daily living
  • Ensure properties are well maintained and comply with relevant support agreements
  • Support effective rent collection and minimise void periods
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure support is delivered in line with service requirements
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar role
  • Experience within housing support, social care or supported accommodation
  • Knowledge of support planning, safeguarding and independent living
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and person-centred approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to work independently across dispersed accommodation
  • Relevant qualifications in social care or a related field are desirable
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS is required
