Morgan Hunt are currently working with an Ofsted Outstanding college based in Merseyside who are seeking an experienced electrical professional to join their Building Services team as a Lecturer in Electrical Installation. No Teaching Experience Required
Previous teaching experience is not essential. To be considered, you must have:
- A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Electrical Installation, or an equivalent qualification
- Recent and relevant industry experience
About the Role
As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Levels 1-3, working with:
- 16-18-year-old learners
- Adult students
- Apprentices
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Assessing learner progress and achievement
- Providing constructive feedback and support
- Contributing to curriculum development
- Managing course administration, including enrolment, registration, and attendance monitoring

Essential Criteria
- Level 3 vocational qualification (or higher) in Electrical Installation
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one
- Recent and relevant industry experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, engage and inspire learners
Desirable Criteria
- Experience teaching in Further Education or workplace-based learning environments
- Knowledge of awarding body requirements and standards
- Experience in vocational assessment and/or quality assurance
Government Retention Incentive - Up to £6,000
Electrical Installation is recognised as a priority subject within the Government's Building and Construction category. Eligible Further Education teachers within their first five years of teaching may receive between £2,000 and £6,000, depending on teaching commitments and funding criteria.
