IT Manager
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

We\’re partnering with a national charity and social housing provider to recruit an IT & Digital Manager, a pivotal role leading the organisation\’s digital transformation and ICT strategy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking IT professional to drive innovation, strengthen infrastructure, and implement cutting-edge solutions (including AI and cybersecurity) to support critical services that make a real difference across the UK.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Finance & ICT, you will take ownership of the charity\’s IT and digital landscape, from strategic direction to day-to-day operational oversight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the organisation\’s ICT and digital strategy
- Managing IT systems, infrastructure, and third-party suppliers
- Delivering digital transformation projects, including AI adoption
- Ensuring data protection, GDPR compliance, and cybersecurity standards
- Overseeing disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Supporting staff through training and digital enablement
- Advising senior leadership on technology trends, risks, and future opportunities
This role is both strategic and hands-on – ideal for someone who enjoys leading change while staying close to the technology.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years\’ experience in a senior ICT or digital leadership role
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and security frameworks
- Experience managing external IT providers and delivering IT projects
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments and modern networking tools
- Awareness of AI trends and practical use in a charity or public sector context
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Values-driven, with a passion for making a social impact
Desirable: Degree in a relevant field and certifications such as ITIL or CompTIA Security+
