About the Role / Job Summary
We are seeking two dedicated Employability Coaches to develop and deliver a program aimed at enhancing employability skills and other essential soft skills. This role involves proactive engagement with students and employers to prepare learners for work experience and reflect on their skills and future choices.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare students for employment through classroom-based activities.
- Ensure level 2 and 3 students complete their courses by the set deadlines.
- Facilitate Health & Safety compliance for students prior to placements.
- Create and deliver engaging employability resources and skill sessions.
- Develop strong links with local and national employers for meaningful work-related learning activities.
- Collaborate with curriculum areas to deliver employer-led presentations and mock interviews.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Support students in logging enrichment activities on the designated platform.
- Nurture relationships with employers to secure placements.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification or higher in Information Advice and Guidance or a relevant subject.
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
Education Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in education or employability support.
- Literacy and Numeracy qualification at Level 2 or above is desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in delivering engaging activities within an FE environment.
- Understanding of the current job market and challenges in gaining employment.
- Strong administration and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students and build sustainable relationships with employers.
- IT literate with proficiency in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
