About the Role / Job Summary:
A leading Further Education provider in the region is seeking a dynamic Interim Head of Apprenticeships to lead its Apprenticeships provision. This role is vital in addressing local skills gaps and widening participation, empowering individuals to engage in career-focused education. You will enable adults and apprentices to gain essential skills and confidence, facilitating access to meaningful employment and fulfilling lives. With compassion and ambition, you will ensure that programs are accessible and responsive to the needs of all learners, particularly those facing barriers to education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Shape curriculum development and strengthen partnerships with employers.
- Contribute to the organization's strategic goals.
- Make impactful decisions that shape the lives of adult learners and apprentices.
- Ensure programs are accessible to all learners, particularly those facing barriers.
Qualifications:
- Strong track record in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Experience in leading educational programs, particularly in Further Education.
- Understanding of local skills needs and barriers to education.
Education Requirements:
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in education or related field.
- Professional certifications in education leadership are advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience in an educational leadership role.
- Experience working with diverse learner populations.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders, including employers and community organizations.
