About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused
Housing & Support Assistant to join a supported housing service in Uxbridge.
You will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, providing excellent customer service while helping to maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment.
This is a varied role combining reception, administration, housing support, and health & safety responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, contractors, and external agencies.
- Deliver excellent customer service and respond to enquiries professionally.
- Carry out reception duties, including answering calls, managing emails and post, processing payments, and reporting repairs.
- Welcome new residents and assist with sign-ins, move-ins, and general enquiries.
- Conduct regular health & safety, security, and wellbeing checks throughout the building.
- Monitor and report maintenance issues, anti-social behaviour, incidents, and safeguarding concerns.
- Maintain accurate records, update internal systems, and complete incident reports.
- Support residents by providing information, guidance, and signposting to relevant services where appropriate.
- Liaise with contractors and internal teams to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for residents and visitors.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high-quality housing and support service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housing, supported living, reception, administration, or customer service.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with challenging situations professionally.
- Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records.
- Flexible to work a rota, including weekdays and weekends.
