Housing and Support Assistant – Slough

Location: Slough

Contract: Full-time | Shift-based (includes evenings & weekends)

Salary: £13.94 p/h

Morgan Hunt is seeking a compassionate and proactive Housing Support Assistant to join our client at YMCA. This is a meaningful opportunity to support young and vulnerable individuals by providing day-to-day housing support, tenancy advice, and helping residents progress toward independent living.

What You\’ll Do:

  • Welcome and assist residents, visitors, and contractors
  • Log repairs, process rent payments, manage post and admin
  • Conduct wellbeing and facilities checks
  • Respond to incidents and anti-social behaviour
  • Act as on-site Fire Marshal and First Aider

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Excellent communication & customer service skills
  • Calm, confident, and empathetic approach
  • Basic IT skills and strong admin ability
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends

Essential Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce – issued in the last 12 months or registered on the Update Service)
  • Proof of Right to Work in the UK
  • Willingness to complete all required compliance documentation

Desirable:

  • Experience in supported housing, social care, or community support
  • First Aid and/or Fire Marshal training
