About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Home Ownership Team Leader to join a busy Home Ownership and Service Charge a public sector and government team based in North London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with strong home ownership, service charge and team management experience to take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality customer-focused service.
You will lead and develop a team of Home Ownership Specialists, providing direction, support and training while ensuring services are delivered effectively, consistently and in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities as a Home Ownership Team Leader are
- Line manage and develop a team of
Home Ownership/Service Charge Specialists .
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews and training sessions .
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on home ownership matters, legislation and best practice .
- Deliver a responsive and customer-focused service across home ownership enquiries.
- Oversee statutory and non-statutory
Home Ownership and Service Charge processes .
- Ensure processes are delivered in accordance with legislation, policy and procedure.
- Prepare documentation for
First-tier Tribunal and civil law proceedings , attending hearings where required.
- Resolve complex complaints and service failures and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Support budget forecasting and effectively manage workloads and caseloads.
- Compile team performance and statutory reporting information for senior management.
- Support the Home Ownership Manager and provide management cover when required.
About You
- We are looking for a proactive and experienced housing professional who can demonstrate:
- Proven line management and performance management experience.
- Experience training, coaching and developing colleagues.
- Strong knowledge of
Home Ownership products, legislation and best practice .
- Experience interpreting leases and complex legal documentation .
- Understanding of legal processes, including tribunal and civil law proceedings.
- Ability to interpret financial information and monitor budgets.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to different audiences.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly
Microsoft Word and Excel .
- A proactive, collaborative and customer-focused approach.
