Are you a passionate, experienced educator looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our SEND team. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with the SENDCo and Deputy SENDCo to drive inclusive education and ensure our students with SEND achieve their full potential.
The Role
- Leadership: Providing day-to-day management, deployment, and development of the Teaching Assistant team to ensure high standards of support across the school.
- Provision: Designing and delivering evidence-informed interventions, contributing to statutory SEND processes (including EHCPs and Annual Reviews), monitoring student progress.
- Teaching & Inclusion: Planning and leading learning activities, adapting resources to ensure curriculum access, promoting inclusive classroom practice.
What We Are Looking For
- We need an organised, resilient, and professional individual with significant experience in an educational setting, specifically supporting students with SEND.
- Proven experience in delivering targeted interventions and assessing their impact.
- Strong leadership capabilities (line management experience is essential).
- A solid understanding of SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice, and EHCP processes.
- Excellent communication skills to build effective relationships with our school community.
HLTA status or a Level 4/5 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is highly desirable.
