This is an exciting opportunity for an immediately available Head of Finance to join a well-respected charity.
Responsibilities
- Leading a small team and developing and implementing financial systems and processes.
- Supporting Board and senior leadership in strategic decision-making, financial modelling, and risk management.
- Providing financial analysis to the CEO and Trustees on financial matters, including investment options, cost-efficiency, and asset performance.
- Collaborating with SLT colleagues to support financial modelling and scenario planning.
- Working with investment advisors to ensure that effective investment management is in place.
- Using financial modelling and scenario analysis to inform strategic decision-making and optimise capital deployment.
- Developing and implementing the organisation's financial strategy to maximise returns and ensure sustainability, efficiency, and income diversification.
- Leading on financial compliance, ensuring adherence to Charity SORP, FRS 102, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experienced Head of Finance with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification with substantial post-qualification experience.
- A track record of managing investment portfolios particularly within the charity sector.
- Strong understanding of procurement, contract negotiation, and tendering processes.
- Proven leadership and line management experience.
- Experience of writing and presenting reports at Board / Committee level is essential.
