About the Role
As we lead into the 26/27 Academic year, we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Maths Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching and inspire learners to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons across relevant levels (e.g., GCSE, A-Level, or equivalent)
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Develop lesson plans and teaching materials in line with curriculum requirements
- Support students in achieving academic goals and improving confidence in mathematics
- Provide additional support through tutorials, revision sessions, and intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) - desirable/essential depending on role
- Experience teaching mathematics in a school, college, or higher education setting
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching maths
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience teaching Functional Skills, GCSE, or A-Level Maths
- Familiarity with different teaching methods to support diverse learners
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning
- Experience supporting students with additional learning needs
