Construction Lecturer
Location: East Hampshire
Salary: £38 per hour
Contract: Full-Time
About the Role
As we lead into the 26/27 Academic year, we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Construction Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and inspire learners to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions in Construction.
- Teach across a range of construction subjects, which may include Brickwork, Carpentry, Joinery, Multi-Skills, Building Technology, and Health & Safety.
- Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
- Monitor learner attendance, progress, and performance.
- Develop learning resources and maintain accurate records in line with awarding body requirements.
- Support learners with pastoral care and academic guidance.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain workshop environments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Construction or a related discipline.
- Significant industry experience within the construction sector.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
Desirable Requirements
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
- Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent).
- Previous experience teaching or training within Further Education, Apprenticeships, or Adult Learning.
- Knowledge of awarding body requirements and vocational qualifications.
