Role:
- Degree qualified or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working in a design consultancy or a similar environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical design within the built environment.
- Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients.
- Detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards, able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions, act on own initiative.
- Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools such as Microsoft packages, CAD.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
- Design and specification of all Mechanical Building Services systems.
- Preparation and review of documentation e.g. designs, specifications, assessment reports, survey reports.
- Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, CAD, in-house developed tools.
- Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
- Implementation of detailed surveys of mechanical services and equipment to establish the status of the existing installations and gain sufficient information to recommend new/upgrade design proposals.
- Assisting with the development of junior engineers.
- Report and technical note writing.
