The role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Officer with charity sector experience to support their finance team. As a Finance Officer, you will be an experienced, hands-on finance professional who can quickly integrate into the team and provide flexible, all-round support. You will use strong interpersonal skills to assist across a range of finance tasks, acting as a reliable multitasker who helps the team meet its day-to-day and month-end needs.
What you will be doing:
- Provide temporary cover and support to the finance team during the implementation of a new finance system
- Assist the Finance Officers with payroll processes, including timesheets and expense claims
- Support the Management Accountant with month-end tasks and reporting activities
- Work closely with budget holders to respond to finance-related queries and provide guidance
- Assist the Head of Finance with preparatory work for monthly management accounts
- Support Finance Officers with accounts payable processing and related duties
Required skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in a finance function handling high-volume transactions accurately and in compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong team collaboration
