Interim opportunity to work for an international non‑profit crowdfunding platform, which connects donors and companies with charitable projects around the world. This 3 day per week part‑time role requires a qualified accountant with significant financial reporting as well as financial leadership experience, ideally within the charity or not‑for‑profit sector. Our client supports global non‑profit partners by providing a safe and accessible way to receive funding to help them grow and operate effectively.
The Finance Manager will report to the US foundation finance team and will oversee the integration of UK finance operations into a global finance team, ensuring smooth delivery and full compliance. You will oversee system and banking changes, support budgeting and financial planning, and manage finance processes such as payroll, reconciliations, invoicing, and cash flow.
- Lead the integration of UK finance operations into a global finance team, making sure everything runs smoothly and stays compliant.
- Oversee the move from QuickBooks to NetSuite and manage banking changes.
- Support budgeting and financial planning across UK and global teams.
- Produce accurate management accounts, cash flow reporting, and board‑level financial updates.
- Take ownership of key finance operations like payroll, reconciliations, invoicing, expenses, and cash movements.
- Provide clear financial insight to support leadership decision‑making.
- Support audit work and check all UK statutory reporting and filings are completed on time.
- Handle more complex financial processes, including multi‑currency donations and inter‑company transactions.
Skills and Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified with strong professional accounting background.
- 5+ years’ experience in finance, including at least 3+ years in a leadership role (preferably within the charity sector).
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting (£3.5M+), and business performance management.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and processes in international organisations, including reporting to boards.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills with experience managing teams and using finance systems (e.g. QuickBooks, Excel).
