This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone with experience in the not-for-profit or regulated sector who wants to take ownership of a well-structured finance function and contribute to the wider strategic direction of the organisation.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Director and part of the Senior Management Team, you'll lead on all aspects of financial management, systems, and governance. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Preparing management accounts and statutory returns.
- Managing cashflow, loans, and treasury functions.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.
- Providing clear financial insight and advice to senior stakeholders.
- Leading and developing a small finance team.
About You
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
- Strong background in financial management and reporting, ideally within the not-for-profit or public sector.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior teams and boards.
- Collaborative, organised, and proactive under pressure.
What's on Offer
- Salary: £53,904 - £56,558 (EVH Grade SM1-SM3)
- Hours: 35 per week, flexitime available
- Leave: 25 days + 15 public holidays
