Temporary SEND Lecturer - Essex

Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to learners with a range of SEND needs.
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Develop and adapt learning materials to meet individual learner requirements.
- Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback and support.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and wider educational teams.
- Contribute to learner reviews, target setting, and individual learning plans.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and inclusive teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable
- Experience within Further Education or Specialist Education settings.
- SEND-specific qualifications or training.
- Experience supporting learners with Autism, Learning Difficulties, SEMH, or Complex Needs.
