About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Maths Lecturer to join a Further Education college in London. You will deliver high-quality teaching across Maths courses, supporting students to develop essential numeracy skills and achieve their academic goals. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of learners and make a meaningful impact on their progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons across a range of levels (e.g. Functional Skills, GCSE)
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support
  • Support students with varying abilities to improve confidence and attainment in Maths
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to enhance student outcomes
  • Ensure teaching meets safeguarding, equality, and quality standards

About You

  • Experience teaching Maths in an FE College or similar setting
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths
  • Experience supporting learners with additional needs
