We are working with a London-based college on the lookout for their next Interim ALS Manager to work closely with the Head of ALS to ensure high-quality, compliant and learner-focused support across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee ALS provision to ensure it meets the requirements of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Support learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) effectively.
- Deliver positive outcomes in retention, achievement and progression.
- Manage the ALS annual cycle, staff deployment, timetabling and financial targets.
- Lead high-quality Annual Reviews.
- Work with the Head of ALS and collaborate with curriculum, English and Maths, and external agencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experienced leader within Further Education with a strong understanding of SEND, funding methodologies and quality assurance.
- Proven ability to manage teams, meet statutory deadlines, monitor learner progress, and work collaboratively with curriculum, English and Maths, and external agencies.
