Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Finance Assistant for a well-established international organisation in Dundee.

This role offers more than traditional credit control. You will gain wider experience across accounts receivable, billing, revenue analysis and financial systems.

It could be an excellent next step for a Credit Controller or Finance Assistant looking to develop their analytical skills within a larger finance environment.

The opportunity

Only around 30% of the role involves collections.

The remaining work focuses on reviewing customer contracts, investigating discrepancies and checking that revenue has been processed correctly.

You will work closely with an experienced finance team and gain exposure to systems including SAP, Salesforce and Power BI.

Key responsibilities

  • Investigate invoice, pricing, purchase order and payment discrepancies.
  • Review contracts and financial data to check customer charges.
  • Proactively manage business customer accounts and resolve payment issues.
  • Check that transactions and revenue have been processed correctly.
  • Create manual invoices and credit notes when required.
  • Identify system errors and support corrective action.
  • Produce financial analysis for managers and senior stakeholders.

  • Accounts receivable, billing, revenue or credit control experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience investigating financial or transactional discrepancies.
  • Confident Excel skills and experience handling financial data.
  • An understanding of invoices, credit notes and revenue.
  • Confidence communicating directly with business customers.
  • The ability to work independently and learn new processes.

  • SAP or another large finance system.
  • Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
  • Power BI.
  • Contract billing or variable charging models.
  • General ledger or revenue accounting principles.
