A well‑established Further Education College in London is seeking a skilled and passionate Carpentry Lecturer to join their Construction department. The Role
- You will be delivering high‑quality teaching across Level 1, 2 and 3 Carpentry, combining both practical workshop‑based training and classroom theory.
- The role involves supporting learners of varying abilities, helping them develop the technical skills and industry knowledge required for successful careers in construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Carpentry programmes (L1-L3)
- Plan and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments
- Teach both practical skills in the workshop and underpinning theory in the classroom
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe and productive learning environment in line with health & safety standards
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of the department
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Carpentry or a related trade
- Strong on‑site industry experience within Carpentry/Construction
- Experience teaching or training (FE teaching qualification desirable, not essential)
