We are currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher on behalf of a well-established Further Education College in Crawley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths professional to join a supportive FE environment and help learners develop the mathematical knowledge, problem‑solving skills, and confidence they need to progress.
The role would suit an experienced FE lecturer, teacher, tutor, or education professional with strong subject knowledge and experience delivering Maths qualifications.
Education Requirements
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent.
- A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- Relevant subject‑specific or teaching qualifications would be desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Experience teaching Mathematics within Further Education, secondary education, adult education, or a similar setting.
- Experience delivering Mathematics qualifications, such as GCSE, Functional Skills, or other relevant programmes.
- Experience planning and delivering engaging lessons to learners with a range of abilities.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to support learners to develop their mathematical understanding and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across relevant FE programmes and qualification levels.
- Plan lessons, assess learner progress, and provide effective feedback to support positive outcomes.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of learners with a range of abilities and backgrounds.
- Support learners to develop their mathematical knowledge, problem‑solving skills, and confidence in preparation for assessments and progression.
- Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and the wider success of the Mathematics department.
