Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in Devon is looking to recruit a Council Tax Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will offer full time home working.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  1. Proficiently use the Academy (Capita) Revenues and Benefits processing system
  2. Administer the Billing, Collection and Recovery of Council Tax
  3. Open, close and amend Council Tax Accounts
  4. Take payments and set up direct debits
  5. Apply discounts, reliefs, exemptions and disregards
  6. Handle moves in and out of properties
  7. Trace absconded Council Tax Payments
  8. Deal with Attachment of Earnings and Benefits
  9. Determine liabilities
  10. Issue reminders and notices
  11. Handle summons arrangements
  12. Liaise with external organisations including Bailiffs
  13. Prepare cases for Magistrates Court Committals
