We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Carpentry Technician to join a well-established Further Education College in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpentry professional to support the delivery of high-quality vocational education, helping students develop the practical skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the construction industry.

About the Role

  • Support lecturers with the preparation and delivery of practical Carpentry and Joinery sessions across Levels 1-3.
  • Maintain workshops, tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Assist students during practical activities, providing technical guidance and demonstrating best practice where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, carrying out regular checks and maintaining workshop records.

What We're Looking For

  • A recognised qualification in Carpentry & Joinery or a related construction trade.
  • Recent industry experience within Carpentry, Joinery, or a related construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of workshop practices, tools, machinery, and health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and supportive approach.
