We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Electrical Assessor to join a well-established Further Education provider in Cambridge on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an industry professional with assessing experience to support learners across Electrical Installation programmes, working with a standard student cohort alongside some apprenticeship learners.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting learner development, carrying out assessments, and ensuring students achieve high standards in both practical and theoretical elements of their qualifications.
The Role
As an Electrical Assessor, you will:
- Assess and support learners across Electrical Installation courses
- Conduct workplace assessments and learner reviews where required
- Support portfolio building and evidence collection
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Work closely with curriculum and quality teams
- Ensure awarding body and compliance standards are maintained
Requirements
- Level 3 relevant vocational qualification in Electrical Installation (essential)
- Relevant vocational CPD and industry updating (essential)
- Level 3 TAQA or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Qualifications (or equivalent such as A1) - desirable
- Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance qualification - desirable
- Previous assessing or FE experience highly desirable
