We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Housing Officer for a temporary contract with our client in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing a diverse housing portfolio and delivering high-quality services to our residents.
As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing tenancies, supporting residents, addressing housing-related issues, and ensuring our communities remain safe, sustainable, and well-maintained. You will work closely with residents, contractors, partner agencies, and internal teams to provide excellent housing management services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a designated patch of properties and act as the main point of contact for residents.
- Conduct tenancy sign-ups, tenancy reviews, and property inspections.
- Investigate and resolve anti-social behaviour, neighbour disputes, and tenancy breaches.
- Support residents to sustain their tenancies and access relevant support services.
- Manage rent arrears and work with residents to maximise income and prevent tenancy failure.
- Respond effectively to complaints, enquiries, and service requests.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and case management systems.
- Experience in housing management, tenancy management, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of housing legislation and best practice.
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise competing demands.
- A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
