English Lecturer
Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a prestigious Further Education College in London to recruit an experienced English Lecturer on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English lessons across a range of levels, including GCSE English and Functional Skills English.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Support learners with varying abilities to improve confidence, literacy, and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to enhance learner outcomes.
- Ensure all teaching meets safeguarding, equality, and quality standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience teaching English within a Further Education (FE) College or a similar setting.
- Excellent subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
Desirable
- PGCE, Cert Ed, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience delivering GCSE English and Functional Skills English.
- Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.
