Accommodation Support Worker (Ad Hoc) in Greater Manchester. Ad Hoc - flexible, £15 - £16 per hour.
Morgan Hunt is looking to speak to candidates who are open to working flexibly on an ad hoc basis, across Greater Manchester. This involves supporting those experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness and living within temporary or supported accommodation.
As an ad hoc worker, you will have a flexible approach to work, being able to pick up shifts at short notice with the ability to work across a range of shifts including evenings and weekends.
The role:
- Work to support those who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing homelessness providing long-term housing solutions and ensuring that residents receive appropriate support.
- Carrying out assessments of customers referred to the project for accommodation.
- Offer advice and advocacy to all customers in accessing support relating to benefits, support agencies and education, employment and resettlement options.
- Ensure the smooth running of the accommodation, including property repairs, licensing agreements, health and safety requirements and rent collection.
- Preparation of flats including light cleaning duties and maintaining a clean and tidy environment across the accommodation.
- Keep accurate, up to date records on all aspects of service provision.
Qualifications:
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively taking account of individual need.
- The ability to use multiple applications, systems and associated software packages.
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting people who have experienced homelessness.
- Flexible to pick up a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
- An Enhanced adult and child DBS registered on the update service or willingness to undertake a DBS check.
