Service Manager - Young People's Supported Housing

Location: Havering (Multi-site - Romford & Harold Wood)

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm)

Hourly Pay: £25.00 umbrella or £20.00+holiday pay = £22.41 per hour

Assignment: 3-6 months

We're working with a leading youth-focused organisation to recruit a Service Manager for a multi-site supported accommodation service in Havering. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing teams in semi-independent settings and a strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and performance management.

About the Service

This high-impact role oversees three dispersed supported housing sites in Romford and Harold Wood, providing accommodation and trauma-informed support to 27 young people, including those with complex needs and experiences of homelessness. Services run evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, and the Service Manager must maintain visibility and engagement across all sites.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and line manage a team, including two Deputy Service Managers, support staff, and night workers.
  • Oversee service delivery to ensure young people receive high-quality, PIE-focused, trauma-informed support.
  • Manage referrals and maintain strong commissioning relationships.
  • Monitor performance, reporting, and KPIs to ensure service excellence.
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted's Supported Accommodation Regulations and safeguarding protocols.
  • Build strong local partnerships and act as a key liaison with social services and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous service improvement and staff development.
