Morgan Hunt currently requires a Carpenter / Building Maintenance Handyperson for NHS based in Middlesex.

Pay Rate: £18ph to £21ph Ltd

Hours: 37.5 hrs, 8am to 4:30pm Mon to Thurs and 8am to 4:00pm Fri

Location: Middlesex

Duration: 12 months ongoing contract

Role details:

  • Carry out work activities which are both routine and non-routine.
  • Carry out new works, repairs and routine planned maintenance activities to building fabric, equipment and services.
  • Carry out reactive work requests, minor new installation requests and weekly planned preventative maintenance dockets efficiently.
  • Escort contractors carrying out inspections, installations, strictly adhere to the relevant policies and procedures, maintain tool lists and comply with Health and Safety and Security Regulations.
  • Some experience in building works e.g. plastering, painting and decorating.

Qualification required:

  • National Certificate (BTEC/ONC) or equal NVQ Level 2 with relevant post experience.
  • The post requires a Standard DBS.
  • Recognised carpentry / joinery or approved training scheme plus relevant experience.
  • Full clean Manual Driving Licence.
  • DBS cleared.

Working days and hours: Mondays - Thursday 8am to 4:30pm; Friday 8am - 4pm

Ideal start date: As soon as possible.

Interview/vetting process: One face-to-face interview and this might include observing applicant while carrying out practical carpentry work.
