Programme Manager – Fire RemediationPermanent£75,000 per annumLondonSummaryMorgan Hunt are working with a reputable housing provider, who is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a critical fire remediation programme. This role will be key in ensuring the safety, compliance, and wellbeing of residents across a diverse housing portfolio.You will oversee multiple fire safety projects, managing a team of delivery managers and working closely with consultants, contractors, and various stakeholders. You'll ensure projects meet all regulatory requirements, are delivered on time and within budget, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. You will report into the Head of Building Safety, and have a total of nine direct reports. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage fire remediation projects from inception to completion.
- Oversee a multidisciplinary team to achieve programme objectives.
- Engage with internal teams, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and residents, ensuring clear communication and resident support.
- Manage risks, compliance with fire safety legislation and building regulations, and implement robust controls.
- Oversee budget management and cost consultancy to deliver value for money.
- Monitor project performance, provide regular reporting, and promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure health and safety standards are rigorously applied on all projects.
- Manage contract administration and quality assurance processes.
- Coordinate with managing agents and other partners to ensure compliance where acting as the accountable person.
About you
- Degree level education with a relevant professional qualification in building, construction, surveying, or fire safety.
- Membership of a recognised professional body such as RIBA, RICS, CIOB, IFE, or similar.
- Proven experience managing large-scale building refurbishment projects, particularly in high-rise or complex residential environments.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, CDM 2015 regulations, and building construction principles.
- Experience in project management methodologies and excellent commercial and financial acumen.
- Skilled leader with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Proficient in project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and motivate teams.
