About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide tailored educational and personal care support for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities, autism, and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). The successful candidate will work closely with individual learners, supporting their academic development, personal independence, communication skills, and wellbeing. This role requires a strong commitment to person-centred support and the ability to provide personal care with dignity, respect, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised learning activities to support literacy, numeracy, communication, and life skills development.
- Adapt teaching and learning materials to meet individual learner needs and EHCP outcomes.
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support during lessons, enrichment activities, and community-based learning.
- Support learners with personal care, including toileting, continence care, dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Assist with mobility and physical support needs using safe manual handling techniques.
