We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and reliable Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student within a college environment. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a genuine difference to a student's educational experience and independence. The role is available on either a temporary, temp-to-permanent, or permanent basis depending on suitability and availability. Due to the nature of the requirement, an immediate start is essential.

About the Role: The successful candidate will support a student who uses a wheelchair and will therefore need to feel confident assisting with mobility support, including pushing a wheelchair, alongside providing personal care and toileting support when required.

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the college day
  • Support the student with mobility and accessing lessons and facilities
  • Assist with personal care and toileting support in a respectful and professional manner
  • Promote independence, confidence, and engagement within learning
  • Work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams to ensure the student receives the highest level of support

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience within support work, care, SEN, education, or a similar environment
  • A patient, caring, and professional approach
  • Confidence supporting individuals with mobility and personal care needs
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check is essential due to the immediate start requirement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and committed candidates who can build positive working relationships
