We are working with a leading Further Education college who are looking to appoint a dedicated Job Coach to support young people with additional needs into meaningful work placements. This is a highly rewarding, hands-on role where you will support learners both in college and in the workplace, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to transition into paid employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learners with additional needs to access and succeed in supported internships and work placements
- Carry out job matching, job analysis, and risk assessments
- Deliver coaching using systematic instruction techniques
- Provide ongoing support and mentoring both in college and the workplace
- Work closely with employers to create inclusive and supportive environments
- Support learners to develop independence, including travel training where appropriate
- Monitor progress and support successful transitions into employment
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times
About You
- Experience supporting young people with SEN / learning disabilities
- Knowledge of supported employment or employability programmes
- Strong ability to build relationships with employers and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexible approach to support learners in different environments
Desirable:
- Training in Systematic Instruction (TSI)
- Experience with travel training
- Full UK driving licence
