We are working with a well-established charity committed to ending homelessness across South West London. Their mission is to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring through person-centred, trauma-informed support services. They deliver a range of services including outreach, supported accommodation, and tenancy support, helping individuals rebuild their lives and move towards independence.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Hostel Manager to lead a 14-bed, 24-hour supported hostel service. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for the overall management of the service, ensuring it operates safely, effectively, and delivers high-quality, trauma-informed support to residents with complex needs. You will lead and develop a team, oversee service delivery, and ensure strong safeguarding and operational standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Significant experience working with homelessness / rough sleeping / complex needs
- Experience managing or supervising staff in a hostel or supported housing setting
- Strong safeguarding and risk management knowledge
- Experience with trauma-informed approaches
- Ability to manage high-risk and complex situations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience managing rotas and staffing pressures
