Morgan Hunt require a Finance Manager for NHS based in South East London.

Pay Rate: £30.02ph PAYE

Hours: 37.5, 9am to 5pm Mon to Fri - Hybrid working available 3 days a week.

Duration: 3 months ongoing contract.

Qualified Accountant, excellent Excel skills and knowledge of trust finance systems.

Job Summary

  • Reporting to the Head of Finance & Corporate Support being the day-to-day lead on finance and business processes.
  • To lead on the financial management of the trust, ensuring that all trust controls and processes are followed, that all procurement is conducted according to Standing Financial Instructions and best practice.
  • Ensure that the Executives and Programme Directors have appropriate information to make the best possible decisions to deliver the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Continually develop and improve financial and other reporting to better support the organisation.
  • Ensure that HIN financial reports to funders are complete and timely.
  • Lead on links with trusts Finance, HR and Procurement departments, developing how HIN uses trusts systems to drive continual improvement.
  • Report on a regular basis the financial position and projections of the trust, providing assurance to senior leadership and funders and enabling appropriate decision making.
  • Oversee business processes around finance, HR, recruitment, agency and bank staff, monitoring delivery of these functions to best support the organisation.
  • Work in collaboration with the Financial Support Officer to ensure that all teams are following proper procurement processes and that all requisitions are raised appropriately and all invoices paid in a timely manner.
  • Provide financial leadership and present complex financial management information to senior HIN Leadership and the Head of Finance & Corporate Support.
  • Ensure the HIN Finance team are operating as efficiently and effectively as possible, by reviewing the processes performed by the team and suggesting improvements and automation where possible.
  • Provide accounting expertise to the organisation.
  • Provide support, advice and guidance to other teams within HIN on all financial matters and, when required, challenge assumptions held to ensure the development of robust financial planning and controls and the most effective use of HIN funding.
  • Manage the Finance Support Officer, including ensuring that they are appropriately trained and developed, have twice yearly appraisals and PDPs and that the work of the department is appropriately allocated.
  • Lead and contribute to any other projects to improve HIN business processes as may become necessary.
  • Ensure that the team provides a high-quality service to its customers, carrying out customer satisfaction surveys and implementing changes as a result.
  • Ensure that sickness and performance issues are managed appropriately within the teams.
